Part Three introduces a cuneiform tablet fragment (image on back cover) recovered around 1890
AD from deepest layers of ruins of the Temple of Nippur (image front cover) in Mesopotamia, well-
dated to the time of Abraham around 2100 BC. Text remaining on the tablet fragment is an amazing
affirmation of the Genesis account of the flood. It details the preparation and purpose of the ark
(margurgurrum, a vessel for safe carrying and protection, not for navigation) in a form of early
Hebrew. The fragment seemed to give strong support for the Bible record, so its translation also has
received shouting condemnation from deniers that continues even today.
Because the 2011 original edition of Authenticity only gives a single 1910 translation, the 2022
bilingual edition adds two more parallel translations published by independent scholars in 1922 and
1946. All three translations are identical in significant details and absolutely conform to the Bible
record.
A very practical question-based tutorial at the end of Part Three provides both motivation and metric
for planting and holding the truth of Genesis in hungry hearts.
